Is it the first time you've been to Vietnam or Asia? Are you nervous about just being here? If you're from other Asian countries you may find it more or less similar to your own culture. If you're from Western countries, on the other hand, you may feel overwhelmed with the cultural differences. Either way, I bet, you are excited.
I have traveled to some of the neighbor countries. What's most exciting to me about a new place is the language spoken there. Ok, I have to admit something here, watching basic language teaching videos is my guilty pleasure. It feels great to be able to say a few words or phrases to local people in their mother tongue and get myself understood. If you're someone like me (and admit it!), and you're traveling to Vietnam, here's something for you.
Spend a few minutes to learn a few new Vietnamese words. Trust me, they will come in handy in a lot of situations and it will make your stay much more adventurous, fun and memorable.
