Vietnamese Pronouns

Writer's picture: TVOTVO

Updated: Mar 25, 2019

When it comes to addressing yourself and other people, it gets a bit confusing because in Vietnamese, there are not only tôi (I) and bạn (You) to be used. We use a lot of different pronouns depending on the age, genders and relationship between people in the conversation. Here's a video on Vietnamese pronouns with clear and easy-to-follow explanation. Hope that after this video, all the 'anh', 'chị', 'em', 'cô', 'chú', 'ông', 'bà' etc will make more sense to you :)
